CTET February 2026 Eligibility Details

Primary Level (Class I to V)

Candidates must fulfill any one of the following conditions:

  • Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)
  • Senior Secondary with 45% marks and D.El.Ed as per NCTE norms
  • Senior Secondary with 50% marks and B.El.Ed (4-year course)
  • Senior Secondary with 50% marks and Diploma in Education (Special Education)

Junior Level (Class VI to VIII)

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Graduation with Diploma in Elementary Education
  • Graduation/Post Graduation with 50% marks and B.Ed
  • Graduation with 45% marks and B.Ed (as per NCTE norms)
  • Senior Secondary with 50% marks and B.El.Ed / B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed
  • Graduation with 50% marks and B.Ed (Special Education)
  • Post Graduation with 55% marks and integrated B.Ed-M.Ed

Candidates pursuing teacher education courses recognized by NCTE or RCI are also eligible to apply.

CTET February 2026 Exam Details

The CTET February 2026 examination was conducted on 07 and 08 February 2026 across multiple exam centers in India. Due to technical or administrative reasons, a re-exam was also conducted on 01 March 2026.

The exam consisted of two papers:

  • Paper I: For candidates intending to teach Classes I to V
  • Paper II: For candidates intending to teach Classes VI to VIII
